Dr. Armas is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is certified in advanced laparoscopic surgery by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. He is a member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society and the North America Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Currently, Dr. Armas is the President of Women’s Care Florida.
Dr. Armas has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, surgery for female urinary incontinence, advanced pelvic reconstruction surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Armas is very interested in menopause management and is a speaker in the field on natural hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Armas is listed in the Florida edition of Castle Connolly’s Guide, “How to Find the Best Doctors.” He has been practicing medicine in Brandon and Plant City since 1988.
Dr. Armas graduated with honors from the University of Miami and earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida.
